Chimera Cultivator Devlog 0 - I'm Making a Game!

Heya people! I'd like to talk a little bit about a project that I'm starting to work on. Hopefully writing a blog logging the process of bring this into creation will help give me the motivation to see it through. I'm starting work on a game project; it's been too ling since I've had a big intensive programming project and I really want to get in there again.

What is Chimera Cultivator?

Chimera Cultivator (working title) is a monster-breeding tower defense style game. The towers that you place in a mission are monsters that you have bred on your ranch. Selectively breed monsters for stats, abilities, traits, or sell value. That will be the basics of the gameplay loop, at least. I am trying to not get too in depth with the game's structure, I figure it will sort itself out as work continues on the project.

The Return to Godot 3d

I've tried to use the Godot 3d engine a few times now, for a couple of ideas, but never could make much progress with a project for it. I really want to use it, and I hear that it has continued to improve since I last used it, so I'm excited to work with it again. I really hope it sticks. Part of making a public statement about starting to work on the game is to get me to actually put effort into it. I'll start working on things, and hopefully log 2 can come sooner rather than later.
